Wanbo T4: Good projector, long wait

I ordered the Wanbo T4 projector a few weeks ago, and it finally arrived. The ordering process was smooth enough, just a standard online checkout. Delivery took longer than I expected, about 10 business days, which felt a bit slow for an item of this size. I reached out to support once to ask about the tracking, and they responded within 24 hours with an update, which was helpful. The projector itself is quite good; the picture quality is sharp, and it's surprisingly bright for its size. Setting it up was straightforward, and it connected to my Wi-Fi without any issues. The built-in Android TV is a nice touch, made streaming really easy. I just wish the shipping was a bit faster, as I was eager to get it set up.

Love my new Mozart 1 Pro!

Oh my goodness, I am absolutely in love with my new Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro! It arrived so quickly, like, way faster than I thought it would. Setting it up was a breeze, and the picture quality is just phenomenal. It turned my living room into a full-blown cinema! I've already watched three movies on it, and the sound from the built-in speakers is surprisingly good too. I'm telling all my friends they need to get one of these. So happy with my purchase!

Decent T6 Max, some minor issues

I bought the Wanbo T6 Max and it's a solid projector for the price. The picture quality is pretty impressive, especially in a dark room, and the autofocus worked well right out of the box. I appreciated how easy it was to get it connected to my devices. However, the fan noise is a little louder than I'd prefer during quiet scenes, which can be a bit distracting. Also, the remote control felt a little cheap, almost like an afterthought, and sometimes I had to press the buttons a couple of times for it to register. Overall, it's a good value, but those small things could definitely be improved.

Got the X1 Pro, it's pretty cool

I grabbed the Wanbo X1 Pro a little while back. Shipping took a bit, but it got here safe and sound. It's a neat little projector, works great for watching shows in the bedroom. Picture is clear enough for what I need, and it wasn't too hard to figure out how to use it. Happy with it.

Is Wanbo good, or should I just save up for an Xgimi? Seen some mixed reviews.

L Lisa 2 months ago
Honestly, for the price, Wanbo is solid. I have the T2 Max and it's been great for movies in my bedroom. Xgimi is probably a step up in brightness and features, but also way more expensive.

I went with the Wanbo T4 over an equivalent Anker Nebula and don't regret it. Picture is good, definitely bright enough for dim rooms. If you're on a budget, Wanbo is legit.

Can you actually use these outside during the day, like for a backyard movie day? Or only at night?

N Nina Kaur 2 months ago
Definitely only at night or in a very dark, shaded area. They're not bright enough to fight direct sunlight at all. Even on a cloudy day, it'll look washed out.

Nah, forget daylight. These are for dark rooms or after sunset. You need like 2000+ ANSI lumens for any real daylight use, and Wanbo isn't quite there yet for most models.

What's the deal with returns if I end up not liking it? Is it a pain?

I Ivy F. 2 months ago
I returned a T2 Free that wasn't bright enough for my living room, and it was actually pretty smooth. Just followed their instructions on the site and got my refund after they received it.

Thinking of grabbing a T6 Max. How long does shipping usually take to, say, California?

J June K. 2 months ago
Mine got to LA in about a week and a half, maybe 10 days total. Was pretty quick for coming from afar.

Yeah, I'm in NorCal and my X1 Pro arrived in like 8 business days. Not bad at all.

Do these projectors come with Netflix and stuff pre-loaded or do I need to side-load apps? Asking about the T2R Max specifically.

J Josh 2 months ago
My T6 Max had some apps pre-installed, but you might need to update them or download others from the app store that's built in. It runs Android, so it's pretty flexible.

Nah, some are pre-installed but you usually get access to the Play Store or a similar app store to get what you need. It's not like Roku where everything's ready from the start, but easy enough to set up.
